A 25 year old solo musician making his way in the southern New Mexico region, Walter started in music back well before he could see over a steering wheel. Starting his journey behind a trumpet, Kimball was playing bar shows before he was even into high school. Sitting in with a jazz combo group, the young musician fell in love with the prospect of performance.
Joining the Mayfield Band shortly following, he got the chance to play the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City in 2004. Following school, the musician set aside his performance aspirations to join the Army where he spent 6 years. In deploying to Afghanistan, Walter's occupied himself with a Johnson Backpacker Guitar when he wasn't busy with life in the war torn country.
Setting aside the uniform, Kimball has taken up a loopstation to create a full band sound. Each song is performed only by himself, live on the spot with one take. Using trumpet, guitar, percussion elements and a deep tenor voice all run though a looper, Walter Kimball provides enticing music to the Southern New Mexico Region.
